About My Practice

I chose the name Hopeful Sky Counseling because it bridges a deeply personal story with the way I view healing. The "Hope" in my practice name is in memory of a seventh-grade student of mine whose middle name was Hope. Losing her to suicide was a turning point for me; it’s what put me on the path to wanting to do more for people in crisis and to truly meet the mental health needs in our community.

The "Sky" part comes from the peace I find whenever I look up. Living in Colorado, you see some pretty extreme weather—it can be a total blizzard one day and blue skies the next. It’s a perfect metaphor for the "storms" we all have to weather; things can look dark, but the weather always shifts. I especially love getting lost in the vastness of the night sky and the stars. It reminds me that even when things are dark, there is still a sense of calm and beauty to be found. My goal is to help you navigate those storms until you find your own clear, peaceful horizon.
